Many other schools, of all types and sizes have the opportunity to be represented by a live mascot. Texas has Bevo the Longhorn, Georgia has their Uga the IXth, and LSU even has a cat of prey (similar to our own panther) with Mike the Tiger. A live panther could significantly boost school spirit and be a great draw for new students. Penn State doesn't have a Nittany Lion now do they...

The conversation surrounding this proposal continues to grow within the university community. I am currently researching the logistical requirements and safety standards necessary for hosting a live mascot on campus.

We already have a humane who wears a panther suit named Roc, we want a panther not another humane.
As an incoming freshman, I agree with this idea. However, it'll have to be done in a humane manner or not at all.

This will be a great incentive to boost football attendance.
