Updates

May 9, 2015

I never imagined this effort would grow beyond a few friends but the stories you all have shared about the Abberly are the only reason we have any momentum now. People who actually have the power to reopen the doors are finally starting to take notice of your messages. Please keep remembering that this is only happening because you chose to speak up.

I really never expected to see this kind of momentum when I first clicked create. This energy belongs entirely to all of you who decided this mattered enough to get behind. I am just humbled to be a small part of what you are building here.

I hope nama are ashamed of themselves...... They buy other company's out to save them in the area and a buissness that was 9 times out of 10 busy with customers they shut down without a care to the staff over a 150'000 euro insurance..... Will cost more to pay the 71 workers by the state..... Be ashamed

this was and is a complete unjust thing to do to put 72 staff members out of work is shocking because you cant or wont pay for insurance tallaght has lost a fabulous hotel/disco and also the staff there working were the best this company should be very much ashammed

It was the first Hotel in Tallaght and has been a huge asset to the area. Considering that the people of Tallaght and Dublin South West supplied some of the billions to set up NAMA they have some neck to attack the area like this. I have no doubt that this will become a big political issue in the area if the Hotel is not re-opened soon and the staff who are excellent are not re-hired.

Was a great place not just for a drink but its where every body congregated to socialise have fun n yes have a few drinks. The staff there are one of the best ive ever met n with the pub been closed Tallaght has lost something really special

the abberly court closure now has 70 people claiming off the state and has been a major blow to the community. It's not going to make any money when the doors are locked and potential buyers can't experience it closed either

72 jobs taken unfairly from employees . Nama should have appointed a manging director to ensure job stability untill the complex was sold as a going concern with the staff retaining their jobs when it is bought.
