Declaration of Life

July 2024

We, the citizens of Georgia, honor the words of America’s mission statement, the Declaration of Independence, that Americans “…are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

We honor the words of Georgia’s Constitution which states in Paragraph I that “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property except by due process of law.”

We acknowledge at the forefront of these historic documents is the foremost human right: the Right to Life – that State and Federal levels. We acknowledge that liberty, happiness, property, or any social justice goal is not achievable if the right to live does not exist first.

Life first.

We aspire to empower all Georgians to defend the right to life of all humans including the defenseless baby in mother’s womb, the elderly, the frail, the disabled, and the terminally ill.

We further acknowledge that human beings are created male and female. The two sexes are immutable and determined at the time of conception when a unique human being is formed, separate from mother and father or anyone else on earth. Therefore, whatever is human is human from the very beginning.

We believe family is the foundational fabric of America. When the family breaks down, so does society. We believe children’s needs are met when they are taught to love and serve others, to observe God’s commandments, and to be law-abiding citizens. Parental care, authority, and consent throughout a child’s life shall not be infringed.

We emphatically reject premeditated, deliberate, or intentional death of any human through abortion, euthanasia, or assisted suicide. These actions are wrong and immoral. This is the meaning of being pro-life.

Life and family, fueled by faith, preserve freedom and liberty for all.

Therefore, we call upon Georgia’s citizens, elected officials, and government personnel at all levels, to join us in ensuring these principles are at the forefront of all endeavors to strengthen the fabric of society.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the thoughtful messages so many of you have shared about why this declaration matters to your own families. This movement belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to sign their name to these values. I am still finding my footing with how much this has grown but your commitment to this cause keeps me going.
