I try so hard to not let the scars of that night shatter me
When morning dawns and I am conscience
The day has hope
I pretend all is good
I work harder than before to keep my shattered mind from further breaking
I try not to think, I try to stay calm
Thou every inch of me is shaking within
The smile is there to greet, the friendly gesture, the engagement to upskill
And yet still the panic lies in me
He warned me I will find you at a practice
He promised me insanity
He threatened me he will harm me
I carry this burden silently
Pretending his words and action are meaningless
But believe when night arrives the fear is real
I relive that night over and over
Sleep has become an even more forgotten friend
