I have been spending my nights writing letters to the prosecutors because every moment he remains free feels like a threat to my children. Reading the personal stories you have left in the comments reminds me that I am fighting for our survival.

Seeing this kind of backing gives me a sliver of hope that I might actually keep my children safe. I never imagined so many people would care about my survival, but your energy keeps me going when the fear gets too loud.

The law consistently overlooks our safety. Safety is a priority and a right. The law must be more strict. GBV is taken lightly and the person should remain in custody for sometime before bei'g granted bail. The safety of the one who has laid a charge must be prioritised to avoid a repeat.

I'm signing for the bail application to be revoked there is so much GBV going on in the country its time for the Justice system to man up and say NO to GBV by refusing bail applications for GBV perpertraitors
To me , petition alone seems not working , I want to propose that let's ALL talk in one voice to say , GBV must be declared as a disaster because it increases everyday and perpetrators do enjoy freedom of BAIL out , we say NO to BAIL specifically if there's concrete evidence. Thanks

I stand with pumelela Mabeka for the GBV that her abuser belong to jail ,and she is leaving in great when ever she goes. No bail for the abuser
