We call on our leaders and our country to act now to stop gender-based violence and protect women and girls from being harmed in their own communities.
Every day, more people are forced to live with fear, and that fear is growing. Gender-based violence tears at the safety of our homes, our streets, and our daily lives. No one should have to wonder whether they will make it back safely, or whether speaking up will put them at greater risk. When violence is allowed to continue, it sends a message that women and girls do not matter. We reject that message.
We need real action now: better protection for those at risk, stronger response from authorities, safer public spaces, and support services that are easy to reach and trust. Survivors must be treated with dignity, believed, and protected. Communities must not be left to face this crisis alone.
This is about basic human safety and respect. We should be able to live, work, travel, and raise our families without fear of violence. Enough is enough. We stand together to demand immediate action to stop gender-based violence and to make our country safe for everyone.
Every woman is important
