We, the undersigned, oppose the implementation of the New York City Department of Education's proposed "turnaround" plan at Grover Cleveland High School. Due to the several components of that plan, we believe that Grover Cleveland High School will not and cannot benefit from it. This is especially true in regard to the proposed termination of half of the high school's staff. We, as a community, also ask the Department of Education to reconsider all options and to arrive at a viable solution to ensure the preservation and success of our educational institution.Updates

The Department of Education has not yet provided a response to our formal request for a meeting regarding the turnaround plan. I am currently preparing a follow-up inquiry to ensure our concerns remain at the forefront of their deliberations.

The momentum behind this effort has grown significantly and confirms the deep commitment our community holds for Grover Cleveland High School. We are now in a stronger position to ensure the Department of Education acknowledges our concerns regarding the proposed staff reductions.

Ridiculous plan. Fix the issues without firing everyone. Typical nyc doe.
My son goes here and he loves it. Dont tear the school apart just because of some budget report.
Grover Cleveland has been a staple in this neighborhood for years. Leave our teachers alone.
This is total garbage. They are ruining the lives of good teachers who actually care about the kids.
KEEP THE STAFF. They know the students best. Stop messing with our schools.
