The parents at Bellevue Christian Three Points school ask that the two fourth grade classes be moved back into regular classrooms. They are currently in portables which do not have sinks and are required to use a shared trailer porta potty as their primary bathroom which is shared by entire school during recess.
Many concerns have been raised by parents:
- They are not covered, being the in the pacific northwest rainy weather is expected.
- There are steps which students can trip or slip on.
- Hygiene concerns given the entire school has access to these toilets during recess.
- The only way to the check status of a toilet would be to physically walk out to see if the 'in use' or 'vacant' light is on.
- There are safety concerns with these outdoor toilets being located next to the parking lot and street.
Given that there are available vacant classrooms on campus this year, moving the students back into these standard classrooms would ensure that they are in well-ventilated rooms with properly plumbed dedicated bathrooms.
We also ask for more transparency and feedback be collected by parents on the implementation of future facility plans.

Safety issue weight heavily on our hearts. 9-10 yrs kids use unsecured outdoor potty without any adult supervision is major safety alert: stranger danger! This is private elementary, not public high school. Unsecured outdoor port potty located outside of secure classroom building is not age appropriate nor meet private school standard. Trust Broken:School lacks transparency / diversity to communicate w/ parents in advance, when there’re vacant classroom w/ indoor bathroom available.
