We, the undersigned, support the project that the City of La Quinta is reviewing for a 7.63 acre commercial development at the SE corner of Washington Street and Avenue 50 in La Quinta. It will include an Arco AM/PM gas station, state-of-the-art car wash, two restaurants, and other retail spaces. The city is in need of tax revenue and the majority of residents want more shopping choices closer to them. There is a small group of vocal people that are against this project. Do not let the few speak for the many. Let the City of La Quinta Council members and Planning Commissioners know that you support this project.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of driving across town just to run basic errands. It feels like we are finally starting to show the council that our neighborhood needs these services to thrive.

Seeing this level of support confirms that our neighborhood truly wants these new businesses and services. This momentum proves that the residents of La Quinta are eager to see our corner grow instead of staying stagnant.

I support this project. Much needed in this area. I work down the stree from this area.
I have many friends and business associates that live up in the cove area and would welcome more options besides the single, small gas station in town and the current dining choices. The community has grown significantly in # of residents, so the commercial services should also be increased to better serve this area that is limited with current choices.
This project has so much potential my whole family have been residents of La Quinta for many years. I want to see our retail community grow to the point our citizens are not driving to other areas to shop, but are able to do it all here at home. I also absolutely 100% agree with Stephanie Oleson there is really no intrusive or distracts from the neighborhood, we should look at the benefits this will really bring to the residents of La Quinta, and support this project that brings well-being to city & residents.
As a 31 year long resident of the Cove I am excited about the prospect of having this convenience located high above the Hwy 111 corridor and closer to my home. It would be an added bonus having a gas station, car wash and restaurant up near the residential area. The design is attractive and I don't believe it is intrusive or distracts from the neighborhood. This has been a long ignored and weed covered lot for as long as I can recall and the design would be a vast improvement!
As a former resident of La Quinta and a consumer that still is frequently in the City of La Quinta I believe this project will be a much needed addition to a part of La Quinta that has struggled in the past and still currently. One major reason I moved to a neighboring city was due to the lack of anything but residential. Washington becomes overloaded with traffic since residence need to leave the area to shop, eat, or even get gas.
This is beautiful and is greatly needed

Finally something going on that side of town. Tired of having to drive all the way down to 111 just to get gas or a quick bite to eat. Lets get it built.
