We, the undersigned employees from Ftel wish to raise our concerns that there is no allowance for when a technician is routed outside of his/her contractual area.

We believe that reasonable compensation should be in place where substantially extra travelling time is involved which can result either in a loss of earnings or people feeling pressured to breach H&S regulations just to make up lost time.

We also believe that the rules surrounding overtime are unfair. While our contracts stipulate that we will be required “from time to time to work overtime”, any overtime should be agreed on voluntary basis between a manager and staff at every occasion.

We believe that these issues contradict the company’s core values: “The interests of individuals and the needs of the organisation are balanced“

We ask that you consult immediately with elected Voice reps to agree criteria and appropriate arrangements for when technicians are required to work outside of their contractual area.

The biggest downfall for Virgin media was to start a contract with Fujitsu. Fujitsu promising the earth to current kelly's employees to come on board with Fujitsu. Once you were in to your contract you were working over your 40hr per week with no agreement put in to place you ether liked it or lumped it. Virgin media and Fujitsu is a very bad partnership for its work force

Carl Taylor ex virgin media Fujitsu I worked for them from the beginning Fujitsu promised us everything just to get us sigh the contract like some Saturday off which didn't happen they also said we would not work out of the area every installer broke the h&s just to get the work done we were under pressure all the time Fujitsu just used bully tactics as did the supervisors Justin packit and Chris shaw they forced installs in that should never had gone in and illegal so they could hit there bonus I left there in 2013 I couldn't take it anymore in my eyes these lads the installers deserve more money than they get one night I was doing an install at 10.30 at night in a customers house down near Birmingham the customer wasn't to happy alls I can say I would never work for Fujitsu or Virgin media ever again all they say is you can be replaced there just bullies and good riddance best thing I ever did was leave there
