We,
the undersigned employees from Ftel wish to raise our concerns that there is no
allowance for when a technician is routed outside of his/her contractual area.
We
believe that reasonable compensation should be in place where substantially
extra travelling time is involved which can result either in a loss of earnings
or people feeling pressured to breach H&S regulations just to make up lost
time.
We also
believe that the rules surrounding overtime are unfair. While our contracts
stipulate that we will be required “from time to time to work overtime”, any
overtime should be agreed on voluntary basis between a manager and staff at
every occasion.
We
believe that these issues contradict the company’s core values: “The interests
of individuals and the needs of the organisation are balanced“
We
ask that you consult immediately with elected Voice reps to agree criteria and appropriate arrangements for when technicians
are required to work outside of their contractual area.
The biggest downfall for Virgin media was to start a contract with Fujitsu. Fujitsu promising the earth to current kelly's employees to come on board with Fujitsu. Once you were in to your contract you were working over your 40hr per week with no agreement put in to place you ether liked it or lumped it. Virgin media and Fujitsu is a very bad partnership for its work force
