{Friends for Matthew}

***We understand this is a very controversial issue and do not condone abuse or neglect of any kind! We do know all of the parties involved, and we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Matthew is innocent! The system is not perfect, and there are thousands of innocent people in prison in Texas alone on this particular charge.***

On February 16, 2017, our son Matthew was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

In Texas, an accusation is all that's needed for this conviction. A person is guilty until proven innocent in crimes of this nature. There is no defense. No evidence is necessary. Trusting that justice would prevail, a bad lawyer and choosing not to discredit his wife or daughter to prove his innocence were his undoing!!

An appeal has been filed, and a motion for a new trial is in the works.
