FRESH MARKET WEST COBB IN COMMERCIAL NODE ONLY

COLUMBIA PROPERTIES, a developer wishing to rezone a residential area to commercial to expand The Avenue commercial node, is pushing a new strip mall called THE OAKS. They are using a much needed store, the FRESH MARKET, as the anchor for this project. They solicit community support as though the FRESH MARKET is the sole reason. This store is only a component of much larger commercial development that they wish to build in a non-commercially zoned area (it is VERY LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL). This, if approved, will negate the County\'s COMPREHENSIVE PLAN that outlines the development of our county for the next ten years, the protection for all we homeowners in Cobb. DON\'T BE FOOLED INTO SUPPORTING THIS DEVELOPER\'S ATTACK ON HOMEOWNER PROTECTION. We support a FRESH MARKET but it must be built on a current commercially zoned parcel. Many acceptable locations are available within THE AVENUE, THE VILLAGE AT OLD TRACE, or in other numerous vacant commercial structures within a mile of their residential target.
