Greetings.
We, the undersigned parents of students attending the French School in Bahrain, write this petition to express our concern and strong objection regarding the recently announced 10% fee increase for the upcoming academic year 2023/2024. We were not informed about this fee increase prior to its enforcement on us, and we firmly believe that it is unjustified and unfair to impose such a significant financial burden on the parents and families associated with the school.
Firstly, we would like to highlight the lack of communication regarding the fee increase. As parents, we have a right to be informed about any changes in the school fees well in advance. Adequate notice would have allowed us to plan and budget accordingly. However, we were taken by surprise when the fee increase was announced without any prior communication or consultation.
We understand that schools require financial resources to maintain and improve educational facilities, curriculum, and services. However, we believe that the burden of any necessary financial adjustments should be shared equitably between the school and the parents. We kindly request that the school management reconsider the decision to implement the 10% fee increase for the coming academic year and explore alternative solutions to address any financial challenges faced by the school.
In light of the aforementioned concerns, we kindly request that the French School in Bahrain takes the following actions:
1. Void the 10% fee increase for the academic year 2023/2024.
2. Initiate an open and transparent dialogue with parents regarding any future fee adjustments.
3. Establish a mechanism for parents to provide feedback and suggestions on matters related to school fees, ensuring that our voices are heard and considered.
We believe that by addressing our concerns and working together, we can find a fair and mutually beneficial solution that prioritizes the educational needs of our children while respecting the financial constraints faced by families. We kindly request a response from the school administration regarding this matter within 10 days to allow for meaningful discussion and resolution.

We do not accept the increase especially that the school need to be properly managed first than raise can be discussed
Please consider that we have 3 students and I am not getting any discount for the third kid, as the majority of other French schools. We already had a 10% fees increase last year, the situation of market and salaries is not supporting such increase, please consider all of mentioned points and stop the increase. Thanks
The increas already happened last year. As a parent of 3 kids. 2 of them in Collège its really dure and heavy to have another increase the other year as well. Hope the school consider this.
Effectivement, les services du lycee francais ne justifiant en rien une augmentation des frais de scolarité, il ne revient pas aux parents de renflouer ses caisses parce que son bilan financier des annees precedentes a ete catastrophique. Le lycee devrait s'adresser à l'Etat au lieu de venir plumer les parents. Prochaine etape: changement d'ecole!

having 4 kids in the school, this is a major expense for my family. let's do something !

It's already a big increase from last year and now with this big increase we seriously thinking to change schools. Thought I really want my daughter to continue with the French school as she was here since KG.
