We the people of Mars and associated friends of Kim Hall do humbly request that she be allowed to participate in the upcoming 2011 Mars Snow Trip between January 14th and 17th. It has come to our attention that our beloved RA and friend is being forced to stay behind with the Stanford Women’s Water Polo Team for practice purposes. We find this mandate simply unacceptable and request that it be lifted only during the weekend in question. We present the following arguments: Kim is irrefutably the most responsible member of the Mars House community. Her presence alone could likely save the lives of our more misguided community members. Kim has never participated in the institution that is the Stanford House Snow Trip. This is a Stanford tradition that will provide her with lifelong memories. Kim is Hawaiian. That makes snow extra special. The Mars community and associated friends are committed fans of Stanford Women’s Water Polo. To prove our support, each signee additionally vows to attend a home game in the upcoming season. We understand the importance of the team however we implore Stanford Women’s Water Polo to excuse Kim Hall from practice to attend the 2011 Mars House Snow Trip.
