My family is tired of paying these outrageous rates for a service that ignores our needs. We are nearing two hundred fifty signatures and need a final push to force the city council to finally listen to us.

I am putting my own utility bills on the table because I know how much this monopoly hurts our families. We are about to hit the first hundred names and hitting that goal today will show the council we are serious about ending their control.

U are not a customer u are a pawn to Lp&L, they Bully you into high bills with rate increases on the way. Thought I lived in a free country, but guess its not if the Electric company's run us. #freethemeters
Ridiculous how much my bill is every month. Can barely afford my groceries because of these guys. We need competition now.
STOP THE MONOPOLY!! so sick of getting ripped off every month. my bill is insane for a small apartment. let us choose our own provider already.
My grandmother is on a fixed income and she cries every time the bill comes. Its wrong how they treat people who cant afford these price hikes.
Lubbock needs to get with the times. No reason we should be stuck with one company in 2017.

I am sick and tired of being forced to use LP&L. I want other options!!! I am sick of seeing my bill increasing every cycle when I do nothing different. We have laws in this country prohibiting monopolies for just this reason. The citizens of Lubbock deserve better!!! This just shows how corrupt the City of Lubbock is. I am, like many people I know, planning on moving just to get outside of LP&L's service territory!
