The Greenfield City Manager, Charley Bowman has eliminated the Greenfield Dog Warden position for the 2009 preliminary budget. The budget is not voted on and finalized until December. We need to step up and let our voice be heard for this important public safety position and for the animals sake. The Greenfield Dog Warden Brad Adams is responsible for stray dogs and for animal cruelty investigations. Without a dog warden complaints will not be looked into anymore. Remember five years ago before Brad Adams took the position Please take the time and sign this online petition.

Updates

August 23, 2008

Charley Bowman is banking on us staying quiet until the budget vote. Call the city manager's office today to demand he keep the dog warden position funded. Tell three neighbors to do the same before the week is up.

August 23, 2008

The momentum behind this push to keep our dog warden is building. We have the attention of the community now so send an email to Charley Bowman today and demand he restore this position.

Brad does such a good job. we really cant afford to lose him especially with how many strays are running around lately. this is a huge mistake by the city.

Fix the budget somewhere else. public safety matters.
