On behalf of the people of Sheffield who value unity, diversity, and our shared European heritage, we kindly request that the European flag be proudly displayed on Europe Day, 9th May, at Sheffield City Hall.
Europe Day symbolises peace and unity across the continent, and by flying the European flag, Sheffield can reaffirm its place as an inclusive city that celebrates its cultural connections and shared values with European communities. Such a gesture would reflect the city's welcoming spirit and recognition of the contributions that European partnerships have made to our social, cultural, and economic life.
We, the undersigned, call on Sheffield City Council to take this meaningful step by flying the European flag on Europe Day.

So many of us love european holidays, european food, european television, why not celebrate Europe?
Please, please, please fly the European Flag on Europe Day. On behalf of my French children and grandchildren, and my Finnish wife and in-laws.
this is important for a city which has benefitted so much from its European connections.
Europe is our continent. Europe Day is celebration and the European flag should be flown on official Buildings
We ahould fly the flag of Europe to demonstrate our support for peace in Europe and for Ukraine

It seems more important than ever now, to keep in unity with our European neighbours, so please fly the flag.
