Florda tolls are becoming more expensive as time passes, toll money is not being spent in the way it was intended, promises of ending tolls on certain dates after the money has been collected have not been kept, and contreversy reigns over certain toll commisions, we must stop this form of backdoor taxing, on top of gas taxes and other taxes, tolls are a cash cow and must be controlled better than they are now, we propose the following.
#1. end all tolls in Florida and if not :
#2. Conduct annual reviews of toll commisions in Florida, Making the results easy to access for the Citizens of Florida, so they will know exactly where every penny of toll money is used for.
#3. Ensure that any proposed toll changes or additional tolls are only able to be approved after being voted on by the citizens of the area where the Toll would impact them.
#4. any extension of a timeline where tolls are to be used for a limited time (I.E. SR 408 in Orlando) must be approved by voters.
#5. No tolls for trucks who pay Fuel taxes in Florida.
We agree tolls are useful and if used correctly make for better commuter travel. but there must be better regulation.
The feedback I have received from fellow commuters underscores a widespread frustration regarding the lack of transparency in our current toll system. I am currently organizing the documentation necessary to present these concerns to the relevant oversight committees. Your continued interest reinforces the urgency of demanding accountability for how these funds are managed.

It's ridiculous that we have to pay to use a road on top of all the other things we already have to pay. I think this is every unconstitutional and is an infringement on our rights.
