We, the undersigned, do support the Central Park Neighborhood Block Watch's efforts to improve safety by installing flashing lights and properly signing the school zone surrounding Central Park Elementary.
CPNBW’s second proposal of installing school zone signs with flashing lights is a significant step toward improving safety in the school zone. While School Road is posted 20 MPH, nowhere on the road are school zone signs. Drivers still regularly speed through the crossing zone, despite emphasis patrol from the GHSO and our crossing guard’s best efforts to slow them down. The county recently improved School Road by adding sidewalks, but the area is less than desirable for crossing. The vicinity in which the crossing zone is located lies is a low spot where fog regularly forms, making pedestrian nearly invisible until the last moment. The flashing lights will help to signal to drivers to slow down and a school zone designation will allow the GHSO to fine speeding drivers in the correct classification of the driving infraction.

so many cars speed through here and it makes me nervous for the neighbor kids
PLEASE put the lights in. Tired of seeing cars zoom past when my daughter is trying to get to class.
Need those flashing lights asap. Drivers dont pay attention to the 20mph signs at all.
Hard to see kids in the fog over there. This is a good idea.
