The 141 Km long Kings Highway that connects Canberra, NSW Southern Highland districts and the NSW South Coast is one of the most dangerous main roads in the country. Each year about a hundred motor vehicle accidents occur that have tragically resulted in many deaths and injuries. The towns of Bundendore and Braidwood have become congested nightmares and with a steady growth in population and development in the ACT and Southern NSW the problem will worsen. This cause is to help heighten awareness of this enormous community safety issue and to pressure all levels of Government to work together and fix the Kings Highway. We seek an urgent upgrade along the entire length of the highway, the towns of Bungendore and Braidwood to be bypassed and the construction of more rest areas and service centres.
