As rate payers of Byronshire, residents and users of Kingsvale Road, Myocum, it is our wish that Byronshire Council rebuild and reseal Kingsvale Road immediately. The road has been patched and repaired one too many times and is now an exceedingly unpleasant and dangerous road to drive on.
The state of the road, with the reoccurring potholes and the pothole repairs have made the road so bumpy, it could quite reasonably open up Byronshire Council to negligence claims, supported by premature wear and tear on vehicle tyres, chassis, axles and suspension components, damaged goods from inbound/outbound freight, as well as the ongoing risk to safety due to vehicle braking and suspension systems that are incapable of working effectively on such surfaces.
The road is dangerous and unpleasant and needs to be rebuilt, from the ground up. This matter is urgent. Byronshire Council must not ignore or postpone action. It is our wish that Byronshire Council hear our voices and take appropriate action immediately.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained over the past few days. This belongs to all of you who spoke up about the state of our roads because I truly never expected this many people to feel the same way.

The state of Kingsvale Road is unacceptable. It is so dangerous, hard to pass another car. In storms when branches come down, it gets even more risky to drive along. It's damaging cars, car tyres and it's in absolute need or urgent repair. This road needs to be a priority.
Yes the road is very poor for residents particularly when you have a commercial enterprise Byron private adding to the usage which is really residential area
This road is shocking. As someone with a bad back who regularly drives down this road all the bumps and jolts aggravate my painful condition and could lead to it worsening. It is also such wear and tear on our vehicles, I think it’s an embarrassment to council that they will not address this immediately and put their focus on other, lesser concerns when these are tax paying citizens.
I regularly use this road to visit friends. My mobile work takes me on nearly every road in the Byron Shire. Kingsvale Road is definitely one of the most unsafe & worst to drive in the Shire.
1st Prize for the worst residential sealed road in the Shire. Paying high land rates in exchange for a very worn out extremely bumpy single lane road serving our homes mostly made up of multiple “patchwork over patchwork” pothole repairs. Chronic potholes means more patchwork repairs. Unsafe for all users. Does not meet safe acceptable road surface engineering standards.
Please fix the road it is so damaging to our car it makes it hard to want to visit family
The road is extremely dangerous and needs urgent attention.

Could this repair/ re surfacing please be prioritised. The pot holes on this stretch of road have cost me two tyre punctures already. Not to mention the car toll it takes to drive across each day. Many thanks
