We, the residents of Village Walk Subdivision in Zionsville, Indiana would like to have our roads repaved sooner than the expected timeline. Currently, half of the main street in our neighborhood, Village Walk Drive and Court are slated to be repaved in 2017 if the budget allows. That is not acceptable. The road is in horrible shape and is dangerous for all who travel on it, especially children. It has been patched too many times and has to have a permanent fix to the problem as soon as possible.

Updates

February 24, 2016

im still getting messages from neighbors about the new potholes that popped up after the rain this weekend. its honestly getting worse by the day and im working on getting a meeting set up with the town planners to show them how bad things have gotten.

February 24, 2016

the momentum is picking up and it feels like people are finally noticing how bad these roads actually are. i am so glad we are all on the same page about needing this fixed now instead of waiting forever.

The streets in Village Walk are dangerous and are in need of replacement sooner rather than later. Many of us are long term residents who have paid our real estate taxes faithfully year in and year out and deserve better. We keep our properties up now the town needs to do the same.

It sure would be nice to add storm drains when this work is done so we could hook up and eliminate our sump pumps from making a lake in our back yards, too. In other words, could you please do the job right, unlike what the developer did 30+years ago?

All of Village Walk Drive is a disgraceful mess and deteriorating daily. It endured years of extra traffic as the cut-thru to the high school to avoid the long line of traffic on Ford Rd. Village Walk Drive is a dangerous mess and home values are dropping as a result. Please consider our petition to hasten the reconstruction of our neighborhood's streets.

We have lived here since 1999 and have seen year after year our roads being put on the the back burner by other projects throughout the city. This is just not acceptable. Piece mealing our subdivision roads isn't working for us or the city.

Worse road in Zionsville. Lance promised that Village Walk Drive would be replaced in January 2014, while attending our subdivision meeting and informing the neighborhood that one of the entrances would be closed at Bloor Lane. Sad to see it being pushed to 2017.

They won't last the time frame it will take to get them fixed. Dangerous for bike riders of all ages. I have been told about a car repair service in our town uses our roads to to test shocks on customers cars

My husband and I have lived in Village Walk since we built our home in 1987. The houses have been maintained well; however, most of the streets are a disgrace! Other streets besides Village Walk Drive also need attention. Waterford Drive and Danbury Drive need extra attention as well, since they are now carrying more traffic with the closure of our entrance at Bloor Lane and the ridiculous opening of the roundabout at Bloor Lane and Ford Road. If the street department continues to patch the streets, they will have spent enough money to pay for repaving the roads the way it should have been done!
