My husband and I have lived in Village Walk since we built our home in 1987. The houses have been maintained well; however, most of the streets are a disgrace! Other streets besides Village Walk Drive also need attention. Waterford Drive and Danbury Drive need extra attention as well, since they are now carrying more traffic with the closure of our entrance at Bloor Lane and the ridiculous opening of the roundabout at Bloor Lane and Ford Road. If the street department continues to patch the streets, they will have spent enough money to pay for repaving the roads the way it should have been done!

The streets in Village Walk are dangerous and are in need of replacement sooner rather than later. Many of us are long term residents who have paid our real estate taxes faithfully year in and year out and deserve better. We keep our properties up now the town needs to do the same.

I would like to voice my displeasure for the current state of the road condition in our neighborhood. I am sure you have heard a lot of complaints so I won't bore you with my comments. But just drive through. You will see.

The roads in our neighborhood are in an embarrassing state. I am afraid to have my children ride their bikes or scooters for fear that they will hit a piece of broken concrete and injure themselves.

The roads in the neighborhood look awful. I would not want to buy a house if I was a prospective buyer.

It sure would be nice to add storm drains when this work is done so we could hook up and eliminate our sump pumps from making a lake in our back yards, too. In other words, could you please do the job right, unlike what the developer did 30+years ago?

Street is crumbling more and more each day. There are large chunks breaking off which could be a danger to people if kicked up by a passing car. Filling holes left from chunks breaking apart is not a good fix. We need an entire street do over before we are traveling on a gravel street. House values must be taking a hit due to the disgrace of the road condition. This street does not reflect the Zionsville culture!

I lived in Village Walk from 2001 until 2011. Over that time we ask and ask to have our roads repaired. While other streets and subdivisions were addressed, Village Walk continued to be ignored. The streets are and have been in terrible condition and the Town continues to ignore them. I've since moved to another local subdivision and it's clear that Zionsville's street department shows favoritism to neighborhoods with higher priced homes. That's ridiculous and as others have noted unacceptable. For the last 15 years, Village Walk has been given the run around and the streets keep getting worse and worse.

All of Village Walk Drive is a disgraceful mess and deteriorating daily. It endured years of extra traffic as the cut-thru to the high school to avoid the long line of traffic on Ford Rd. Village Walk Drive is a dangerous mess and home values are dropping as a result. Please consider our petition to hasten the reconstruction of our neighborhood's streets.

It does seem as if the Village Walk subdivision has been left behind as other subdivisions are taken care of in Zionsville. The property values are high in Zionsville because of the downtown and schools- to have one of the closest areas to the town in such disrepair will start to pull down values - plus is the right thing to do.

Reiterating the other comments. Unsafe, unsightly and would be a deterrent to a future buyer, especially an active family who rides bikes or jogs. We've lived on Village Walk Drive for a little over 12 years and the roads have continued to fall into disrepair. Continuously throwing patching material into the large craters that have formed because huge pieces of concrete are missing from the streets is unacceptable. The main thoroughfare (Village Walk Drive) should be repaved in the Spring/Summer of 2016. Period.

The road of Village Walk has been an issue and brought to the attention of Lance Lanz and others in Town Hall with continued response of "no money in budget to make this happen". I understand there's limitations but just some inkling of effort that shows they truly care and have some confirmed plan that won't be pushed back or slated for 5, 10 or 25 yrs from now would be nice. So far personally I've seen little if any hint of them addressing this problem on a more committed basis.... I've been here for 15 yrs and the only worked I've seen is recently with Graystone, Phillips and Clay (I believe it's Clay).. That's it.

We have lived here since 1999 and have seen year after year our roads being put on the the back burner by other projects throughout the city. This is just not acceptable. Piece mealing our subdivision roads isn't working for us or the city.

Village Walk Drive should have been repaired well before the Bloor Rd. entrance closed. Not only in anticipation of traffic changes within the neighborhood, but also out consideration for all the residents who will be sharing the one open entrance at Catalina way during re-paving. I live on Danbury Ct. and the court looks awful with poor patching and pieces of concrete and gravel constantly being eroded off the street. Plenty of money for round-abouts and new Town Halls though, right?
