The council confirmed today that they will begin the repairs we asked for. I am honestly stunned that this worked because you all showed up and refused to let this issue be ignored. Please keep an eye on the streets to ensure the work actually gets moving.
Future Choices is a registered charity (SC040085) which helps the Disabled Community of Aberdeen gain social inclusion. Aberdeen City over recent years have had major road & pavement issues. The situation is getting worse. We as a charity have experienced first hand the dangers and hurdles disabled individuals face when using mobility aides whilst using the Pavements and Roads within the city every day. The Pot Holes. uneven pavements structure.
We call on our elected Councillors at Aberdeen City Council to come up with a solution to this long term problem before more people have to suffer with a problem that could in real terms be fixed.

I started this because I was tired of seeing people struggle to navigate our streets but I never imagined so many of you felt the same way. Behind the scenes we are gathering stories to show the council that this is not just a nuisance but a real barrier to basic independence. Please keep sharing your experiences because your words are much more powerful than anything I could write alone.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way people have gathered around this cause. Seeing so many of you acknowledge the dangers our community faces every day is truly humbling. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to care.

Ridiculous that the city is in this state. It is dangerous for anyone walking let alone using a mobility aid.
