The Town of Fishers is proposing to Re-Zone a small Residential strip extending from the corner of Moellenkopf and East 96th St. on the North Side of 96th East to the new round-a-bout at Fall Creek Road. The area is comprised presently of five (5) residential homes and is zoned R2 as it has been for over a half century. Town of Fishers intends to Re-Zone this small area from Residential R2 to Commercial C2.
This unwarranted action on the part of Town of Fishers will create a "Strip Mall" in a decidedly Residential area where it is now designed and configured for small homes. The proposed Re-Zoning is absolutely without merit since, the area is Residential, Designed as Residential, Occupied as Residential; and, is in no way suitable for Commercial. There is not sufficient room for commercial parking, the traffic congestion it would cause would wipe any enhancements gained from a new round-about and, any subsequent Commercial development would De-Value Residential Properties of Geist Woods, Masthead and Carefree Estates contiguous to the area.
For these and many other reasons, we protest this inappropriate Zoning action as being totally inimical to the best interests and use of private residential properties in the proposed Commercial site.
We the People as Citizens, Voters, Property Owners and Taxpayers Do Hereby Protest This Proposed ReZoning by Town of Fishers as Signified by the Following Signatures:
The Town of Fishers remains silent on this proposal but we cannot let them ignore our concerns about the traffic and property values in Geist Woods. Post this petition link to your Facebook page today and email your town council representative to demand they leave our neighborhood as residential.

We hit a real turning point today that shows the town officials that our neighborhood is united against this rezoning. Send this petition link to three of your neighbors right now and tell them why we need to protect our properties from commercial encroachment.

Keep our neighborhood safe. Traffic on 96th is already a nightmare without adding a strip mall to the mix. Leave it alone.

Ridiculous. Small lots like that arent meant for commercial traffic. Whoever thought of this clearly doesnt live in this area.
