A few days ago, SWAT officers of the Fulton (Missouri) Police Department shot and killed a dog while serving a “narcotics” search warrant. The residents of the house asked if they could cage the dog. The officers denied the request, ordering that the dog to be chained to a tree. The dog got loose and was then shot eight times, the first six shots wounding the dog and the last two point-blank, shotgun blasts killing it. After finishing off the first dog, the officers first maced and then turned their guns on caged puppies only stopping when confronted by concerned neighbors. (Mark Flakne, Keep Columbia Free)
Please sign this petition to ask the Fulton, Missouri, City Council to pass ordinances:- Limiting the use of SWAT to events involving either violence or a credible threat of violence.
- Limiting the cooperation of the Fulton Police Department with MUSTANG, or other federal or state drug enforcement organizations that have little to no civilian or democratic oversight and are funded through asset forfeiture programs.
- Recognizing the medical value of marijuana, and the right of the people under the 9th Amendment to the US Constitution to choose their own medicines and medical treatments.

Poor dog didnt deserve to die like that. They had plenty of time to let the owners put him away. Ridiculous behavior from the police.
This is just wrong. Killing a family pet during a drug raid is excessive and unnecessary. Fix the protocol.
Total BS. Officers in Fulton need better training. Why act like they are in a war zone?
Way to much force used here. Needs to be a limit on this stuff before someone else gets hurt.
My heart breaks for this family. To deny them the chance to cage their pet is heartless. STOP THIS!!!

Im so sick of hearing about stuff like this happening in our town. Do better.
