Dear Parents / Carers,

As you know Zan was unsuccessful in obtaining the permanent position of Principal for Ipswich West State School. As a school community, we need stability for our children and we are entitled to have our say in who oversees the education of our children. Please add your voice to this online petition in the hope that the decision to change Principals at IWSS be appealed. We need Zan to stay on permanently in order to finish the good work he has already started. Please share this link with as many people in the school community on your social media sites.

Thanks P&C Committee

Most definitely the best principal Ipswich west state school has had in the 14 years all of my children have attended this school. I’m now torn as to wether I am going to send my youngest child to Ipswich west state school next year to start prep. Bring back this awesome man to be our school principal.

PLEASE keep Zan at the school. He has improved the children’s attendance and behaviour ten fold. Don’t let politics keep him from being at our kids school. He had done so much good for IWSS.

I no longer have a child at Ipswich West, but can attest to the benefits of having stability of staff, particularly a Principal who is engaged with the children and staff. Both children and staff will go the extra mile for a Principal they respect and admire.

Keep Zan! We haven't had a permanent principal for 6 years and he is wonderful! We was with us all of last year and parents students and staff didn't know each term if he was staying. We all know him now so make him permanent and give or kids stability!

It takes time to build trust, particularly with children who are in vulnerable situations. Ipswich West needs to maintain consistency and continuity for the sake of its continued growth in positive culture.

As a parent and pre service teacher, I can say without hesitation that he was the most impressive school leader I have met. He knew the school and the students so well, the school needs him back.

zan was ok but quite young both on and off field. ive been a parent at this school for many years ive seen such greats as Ms Grant Then Ms Whiting, but i too dont think zan was quite right in our school community which as ms stevens says is quite advanced compaired to the rest in the region- which i believe ms whiting was mostly and ms stevens for making it happen. our loss is loosing both ms whiting and ms stevens. thankyou for ur time as fill in mr branford.
