Dear Parents/ Carers,

As you are all aware Mr Bragg has resigned as head teacher from our school. This means, as of December 2016 we will not have a headteacher to start 2017.

Prior to Mr Bragg's appointment, OFSTED reported the school consistently ‘requires improvement’. Since he started he has put in place many internal changes and policies to get the school at an achieving level, creating a vision for us all. Reorganisation of staffing has taken place, the children now have term topics to coincide with the new academic structure amongst many more changes. We as parents may not be able to see the outcome of this until the next OFSTED report.

As parents, our children are the most important thing to us. Having an environment at school to help them develop as individuals enhancing their formal education. Parenting and teaching go hand in hand; they do not work without the other.

A petition has been set up by parents who would like Mr Bragg to continue to lead our school community.

This is a confidential document and can only be signed by parents or carers of the school who would like him to stay.

A brilliant head teacher that has helped me and my daughter so much, A true leader who encourages great learning and has always maintained that the school works together to accomplish all educational and well being goals and achievements.

Mr Bragg has made significant improvements in the school. He has made hard decisions to ensure that the school teaching quality is above standard. He should be allowed to continue his good work. This constant change of Principals is not healthy and the school need stability to become excellent.

I think if we expect to see change and improvements in our school we need to keep the same head for at least 5 years so all changes implemented can be fully followed through. For people to have expected a drastic improvement already in such a short space of time is unrealistic and foolish.

I wish Mr Bragg to continue to be head teacher because he implemented my son's special needs programme. He also continues to be very supportive and has been instrumental in his progress

I would like to see Mr Bragg stay in his position as headmaster. My son is very happy at St Josephs and I appreciate all that the staff and head do. I feel to lose Mr Bragg will have a huge negative impact on the stability of the school and our children.

I feel our children going without a headteacher for over a year would be distructive to there education, my daughter is sad that he is resigning and would like for him to realise his worth at st Joseph's and stay to continue the positive vision he had for st Joseph's

We think you have done a great job as headteacher and it will be a great lost to the school and children if you leave.

My daughter has done really well and really happy with the school. Feel that you as a headteacher have made changes for the better my daughter is in her last year here but do hope you stay and continue within the school.
