We, the undersigned demand that Openreach install fibre broadband and upgrade the connectivity of Claridge Park by the end of May, 2014.
Poor connectivity can severely affect businesses, impact on house prices and children’s education which is why it’s crucial that the Claridge Park development is able to access the same service as the rest of Middleton and MK Village.
BT Openreach have consistently failed to:
- provide a confirmed date for installation of fibre broadband to the Claridge Park development;
- acknowledge that residents have been suffering poor to no connectivity;
- resolve significant ongoing connectivity issues raised via ISPs.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained so quickly. This whole thing belongs to the residents of Claridge Park who decided that enough was enough.

Still stuck on speeds from ten years ago. How can a new build development be left behind like this? It is incredibly frustrating.
BT told me last month it was coming soon but now they have no record of it. Just empty promises again.
Living in a brand new house without decent internet is a joke. I work from home and the connection drops out constantly. Sort it out.
My kids cant even do their homework properly because the wifi is so slow. Really poor service for the price we pay.
Jon Bint who is genuinely working on our behalf on this has previously advised that Infinity for Tyhurst including the apartment blocks was targeted for end of March. This has obviously come and gone but I wonder if our position has worsened as there are now additional properties in Oakgrove between the us and the exchange and wonder if that has had an impact. I will try and find out more when BT visit tomorrow as they insist on visiting even though I have explained the fault is not unique to me.
The situation for me has considerably got worse with the additional properties in Oakgrove, from a slow service to at times a non-existing service. This has become unbearable for me as someone who works from home 4 days out of 5. I have also been in contact with John who I genuinely believe is at his "wits end" with regards to what else he can do. I am also in contact with Martyn Smith at MK Council (email address [email protected]) and he provided me with an update yesterday: "Thanks for your email. Following pressure from the Council, and Councillors, BT/Openreach is now, finally, considering whether they should extend the reach of the Bradwell Abbey FTTP trial to cover the areas that were missed off the original trial rollout some years ago. BT/Openreach has stressed to me that there is no guarantee that they will find the funds required to upgrade your area. However, I hope to be able to provide an update for residents on the situation shortly." I would encourage you, and others to email Martyn as I believe only strength of forcing this issue will see a favorable result.

Jjust across the road people have it in their older houses yet we don't have it in our new houses which seems rather bizarre and unfair. Please can we be included so the whole estate can be classed as having fibre.
