Dear Loews Hotels,
I am signing this petition to please urge you to reverse your policy against feral cats at your Universal Orlando properties.
Loews markets itself as "pet-friendly," but their recent decisions prove otherwise.
The decision to remove a
healthy colony of 23 cats, who have been cared for through a volunteer Trap-Neuter-Return program. The decision to refuse repeated offers from the national experts, Alley Cat Allies, to work out a humane solution that benefits everyone and allows the cats to stay in their home. The decision to ignore the tens of thousands of compassionate caregivers, advocates, and travelers who spoke out in support of the cats over the last two months.
Feral cats live outdoors and are not adoptable. Scientific research confirms that they are not a public health risk. Uprooting these content cats for no legitimate reason and transporting them to local animal control, where they will
likely be killed, is cruel.
There is nothing "friendly" about it.
In light of this inhumane, hypocritical decision, I've decided not to give Loews Hotels any more of my business.
If the cats can't stay, neither will I.
this is so cruel. these cats have been there for years and they aren't hurting anyone. shame on you loews
