I am so sick and tired of innocent little chasten losing their lives in retention ponds that absolutely serve no purpose other than to make an area look pretty. They are dangerous and can change a family's life in the matter of seconds. My beautiful 3 year old son Braedyn was tragically a victim of one of these ponds last year on April 7, 2014. His life meant more than a stupid pond. I get it they do look nice but let's make them a little more safer for our communities. There is no reason why these ponds can not be fenced in for our children's safety. We hate public pools for this reason. This petition is for my son and all the other children that have fallen into these ponds. Enough is enough!
I am currently organizing the safety data and incident reports to present to the local zoning board. The next phase involves submitting a formal request for a mandatory fencing ordinance for all existing neighborhood ponds.

The reach of this petition has now triggered a formal inquiry from the local planning department. I am documenting these signatures to present at the upcoming city council review session.

My nephew should have never fallen victim to an unprotected pond. I ground pools are required to be fenced in Indiana, so should all bodies of water at ground level.

Please hear our cries! Too many babies have been lost from these ponds! My baby cousin died because of falling into one in an apartment complex.... Why does this have to keep happening... Arent our babies protection enough?!

I support you fully. As my son died in a pond as well. All ponds need something around them.

You know that all home owed get l overk that very same thing. If they do not have a fence around their pools then they have a big lawsuit. If the child was to drowned in the pool Lord how mercy
