We, the residents of San Diego County, who live on Felicita Road, Escondido, CA or use Felicita Park are endangered by the 45 MPH speed limit on Felicita Road between Hamilton Lane and Via Rancho Parkway. There are many sharp curves and blind driveways and we, too often, are have near-miss traffic accidents pulling off of or onto Felicita Road. Further, those of us who walk along the road are endangered by fast traffic who do not see us in time as they come around curves. We ask the County of San Diego to lower the speed limit to 35 MPH on Felicita Road between Hamilton Lane and Via Rancho Parkway.

The danger on Felicita Road remains real and motorists are still ignoring the needs of local pedestrians. Pull up the contact page for the County Board of Supervisors and email your representative to demand the speed limit reduction now. We need them to see that this is a priority for every resident who uses this stretch of road.

I am afraid to walk the 100 feet to the park entrance from my residence due to the traffic and speed. The traffic is so noisy that I have not had a decent nights sleep in several years since I moved here as my bedroom faces the road. Road races are common at 1:00 am. Speed needs to be reduced....I don't have the option to move.
I've seen my share of accidents on Felicita Rd in my 5 years here. Folks drive well above the 45 posted speed limit making it exceedingly difficult for those along Felicita Rd to exit their driveway. Please lower the speed limit.
I live in the area and often walk on Felicita, or attempt to cross it to go into the park. The high speed limit and blind curves make it very dangerous to pedestrians as there are no sidewalks. Please lower the speed limit to 35, and then monitor to enforce compliance to keep our neighborhood safe.
I walk it at least three times a week to get to the park and am constantly aware of the speeding cars. It takes away any enjoyment of this area...to be afraid to walk 200 feet to the park entrance due to the speed limit is ridiculous. Speed needs to be reduced.
I've had several near miss collisions with people driving fast on this stretch of road by the park. There are still skid marks in the road from a car that took out the fence by our driveway. Please lower the speed limit.
This would be a good precursor to folks who will eventually be slowing once the four way stop is at park entrance and traffic calming circle is placed. That's probably towards the end of the Oak Creek development
Please slow down our traffic. We the people of Escondido desire it.

Not only is the road curvy, but there are many trees and bushes that block visibility into these turns making it more dangerous. I am especially concerned that if the new housing development goes in at Hamilton and Felicita this problem and the speeding on Park Dr. will get worse.
