Our dear friend Felicia Baxter passed away this year. The year we graduate. Our admin are trying to decide whether or not her chair should be left open. We are unsure as to what the decision for her chair is, but let's not let them make the wrong one. This petition is for the people who feel we have no voice in this decision, who think it is wrong for all of her hard work to go unnoticed. This petition is for our friend, who has grown these past four years, into family. This petition is for her to get what she deserves. If she doesn't get her chair, we don't want one! Please sign below so she can celebrate her accomplishments the right way, with all of us. Not giving her a chair at graduation is like she didn't sit with us in one for the past four years in a classroom.

The sheer weight of this support proves the administration cannot ignore us anymore. They think they can erase our friend from this ceremony while we look the other way. We are not letting them treat her legacy like an afterthought.

The school administrators are dragging their feet and ignoring what Felicia earned. We are hitting the triple digits soon so flood their inbox with this link until they understand we will not sit in those chairs if she is not remembered.

She was in a tragic accident, she didn't ask for this, she worked hard to be able to graduate, just because shes no longer here doesn't mean she should have it taken away, she deserves it just as well as everyone else who is graduating.
Leave her chair open, when I was in high we had an open chair for that person and honored her parents with her diploma. It meant a great deal to the graduating class but it meant even more to her parents. Please leave it open...
I had a close friend pass away in 7th grade, the hole year we kept ribbens and things on his chair in each class, no one was aloud to sit there. I persoanlly think it would not be creppy. She's still with all of us in our hearts. She deserves it. Anyone would.
I am utterly speechless at the idea of not reserving a seat for a student who has passed months before her graduation. Reserving a seat is recognizing her hard work and her support system, from both family and friends, throughout her final years.
She was a beloved student and this is a way to celebrate and acknowledge her life. Ignoring or declining her this chair serves to crush the spirit of others students who feel her loss and want to remember, rather than forget.
Leave her seat open out of respect for the family !

I support the remembrance of Felicia Baxter. I think it's a beautiful gift to a family who lost so much this year. Losing a child must be the most life altering experience. It's only right she has a chair saved; please recognize a young soul lost too soon.
