This petition is for a class wide, week long extension for the FSN707- Research Methods, research proposal.
Hey, as we are well aware now, the final research proposal for FSN707 will not have the outline uploaded until week 11, yet it is due on the 11th of December. This coincides with Design due dates for other major projects, and is due directly after the final projects for Communication. Like myself I'm sure this will not allow for enough time to complete this high percentage assignment along with our already existing assignments.
After quick discussion with design professors this is verified that we will require all the allocated time to proficiently complete our jacket designs. Its from our understanding that to complete a well thought out, focused research proposal, more time will be required for the final proposal.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way everyone has stepped up to support this request. This momentum belongs to all of you who realized we were being stretched too thin. Thank you for showing that we are in this together.

We haven’t gotten an outline for the final assignment, or methodology (which is due in one week).
How are we supposed to start when the outline isnt even up yet? This is ridiculous.
Literally impossible to manage the design deadlines and this proposal at the same time. We need the extra week to actually do a decent job on this.
The jacket project is taking up all my time right now and I cant focus on this proposal without the brief. Please just give us the extension.
It's extremely difficult to prepare for a project and actually do work toward a project that we don't even have a brief for. The fact that we've already gotten marks for something in this assignment and yet didn't have a brief to follow is extremely unprofessional.

Leather jacket is a hard deadline, and given that I am unable to effectively start my research project due to the lacking project outline, I feel it is only fair to extend the deadline for the research project.
