Mr. Christian Engle Senior Vice President Chief Operating Officer Central Connecticut Coast YMCA 1240 Chapel Street New Haven, CT 06511 Dear Mr. Engle Assistant Coach Bill Strickland is leaving the Flyfins at the end of the winter season creating a significant void in the swim team coaching staff. Our team has made significant progress under the coaching abilities of Head Coach Teddy Weeks and Coach Bill and we as parents wish this performance to continue. Our team is comprised of approximately 140 swimmers ranging in age from 8 to 16 and the responsibility of coaching a team this large and age diverse goes beyond the human capabilities of only head coach and some part time help from very junior people. As concerned parents and members of the YMCA we are asking for your help and attention in finding a suitable Assistant Coach for our team. From our parents perspective it does not look like there has been much progress made towards finding a replacement and we are hoping you will bring some focus to this pressing issue. Parents that were with the team three years ago,prior to Coach Teddy and Bill, know what it is like not having competent coaching staff and don't wish to repeat this experience.
