We demand transportation to be provided for students with disabilities on our campus. Everyone should have access to the education they paid for. Forcing students with disabilities to walk 1800 feet up an inclined hill is unacceptable.
I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained lately and I certainly never anticipated this level of response. It is clear that you all care about this issue as much as I do and the weight of your support is entirely responsible for bringing this to light.

I have been in rehabilitation for muscle aches in both my feet and walking up the hill even from my dorm use to seem impossible!
We need this service!

This is not fair that UC Merced does not provide transportation for disabled students. That is a very big hill to go up when disabled.

This is a very disturbing issue. UCM prides itself in diversity and it's ability to appreciate every student. We have students that need alternatives and the university is turning a blind eye.

It's something I never really thought about until I needed it when I had a broken ankle. But after seeing that I was not going to be helped by TAPS or even Disabilities Services, I realized this is something that needs to be changed through action among the students. I suggest anyone who is in ASUCM to take note of this because this is an issue that demands attention.

It is time to do something about TAPS services for UCM students. We deserve to gain access to better transportation in our own school!

people should be able to cruise on up the hill even if they have an injury
