After stealing property from another student, she proceeded to verbally attack him for nine minutes until authorities arrived. Macias has proven herself to be a poor representative of our campus' values and she has brought great dishonor and embarrassment upon this university's faculty and students. The momentum behind this petition proves that students and faculty are fed up with the pathetic lack of accountability from University of California leadership. We have reached a point where the administration can no longer ignore this blatant disregard for campus safety. It is time for them to stop protecting criminals and finally expel Macias.

This was unacceptable and aggressive behavior. She was inciting violence and used racist language. In addition, she physically made contact with him and refused to return his property. This can’t be tolerated
