CSUN MSW Student Justice - Reinstatement & End Discriminatory Practices
We, the students, alumni, and concerned community members, support this MSW graduate student and call for her immediate reinstatement to CSUN's MSW Program. We stand against:
- Racial Discrimination: Documented evidence shows disparate treatment between POC and non-POC students regarding attendance flexibility, sick leave, and professional development opportunities.
- Disability Rights Violations: Despite proper documentation of health conditions, reasonable accommodations were repeatedly denied, violating educational rights.
- Cultural Insensitivity: Essential cultural and family obligations were dismissed, with POC students facing disproportionate criticism for family caregiving responsibilities.
- Unfair Dismissal Process: Student was terminated without proper review, despite:
- Consistent attendance during extraordinary personal challenges
- Positive patient care contributions
- Active professional development
- Clear commitment to improvement
Our Request:
- Immediate reinstatement to the MSW program
- Full investigation of discriminatory practices
- Implementation of equitable policies
- Fair treatment for all students

This is so unfair. She worked hard and deserved way better than this treatment.
This is ridiculous. I had a really hard time getting my accommodations too. They make it impossible to succeed.
How can a social work program be this insensitive to actual human needs? Fix this.
I saw this happening to a friend last semester. It is real and it is systemic. DO BETTER.
CSUN needs to be held accountable for this mess. Not surprised honestly.
