I keep seeing kids trying to practice on cracked concrete that has barely seen maintenance in over a decade. It breaks my heart to see them discouraged when they should be out there finding their rhythm. I am working to get local officials to actually step foot in the park so they see exactly what I see.

Seeing this much momentum behind the park expansion reminds me of all the hours I spent at the ramps as a kid. It brings me genuine joy to see so many people backing a place that gave me a home when I needed one most.

The location is absolutely great ... but the skatepark is wait to out of date and there are a lot of skaters in Galway that would use it also don't forget about bmx raps!
We need a new park, the one we currently have is very outdated and is not maintained properly making it a safety hazard, the state the park is in makes it a huge deterrent for young people looking to get into sports
The park was built well beforw Skateboarding took off in the west of Ireland and as a result in 2015 is not compatible with modern demand
It becomes over crowded very quickly when more than a handful of the growing skating community arrive to the park
Put more detail in the description. The park needs a total overhaul. Concrete rather than modular: better for skating and less maintenance needed etc
I was a skater for many years, ran 2 skate parks which were the best days of my life. The community needs this

I am signing this petition because I have seen the skate park deteriorate over the past 5 years, apart from the few pieces of work that have been done.this has led to inadequate facilities for me and my fellow skateboarders to practice our sport and improve.
