Jerry Rutlin is an inmate at Potosí Correctional Facility. Jerry was convicted at the age of sixteen and tried as an adult for first degree robbery. No one was injured, or killed during this robbery, yet he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Jerry was due to be released from prison 09/2012.
In August of 2011, Jerry was tried and convicted of unlawful use of a weapon. The weapon was not found on Jerry or even used. His previous cellmate, confessed in open court that the weapon was his(cellmate). During this time Jerry was in the "hole" when the weapon was found. Jerry was convicted of additional 30 years.
We as the family are trying to get Jerry Rutlin exonerated. The State of Missouri refused to take the confession, or fingerprint the weapon. Jerry was convicted by a jury of his so call peers: twelve middle aged Caucasian. (Majority were correctional officers, or had worked at the jail).

The legal evidence surrounding Jerry Rutlin remains inconsistent with his extended sentence. I am currently working to organize our documents for a formal review by independent legal counsel.

Praying that all the evidence be reviewed and that justice will prevail for your brother
There's No justice....Its just us....WE AS A PEOPLE MUST BAND TOGETHER TO CHANGE WHAT THE OTHER MAN PUT INTO LAW.....TOGETHER AS ONE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE....
I pray that Jerry get out ASAP ASAP, he has been in long enough
I hope this case is reopened so that the evidence can be reviewed
PLEASE EXONERATE JERRY RUTLIN FOR HE IS INNOCENT
Let him out he have serve his time.

This whole thing is crooked man. How u convict a guy for a weapon that wasnt even his and the real owner said so right there in court. Set him free.
