- My name is Evie Wilson and I am interested in seeking a leadership position on our campus, specifically with Student Senate. I participated in Student Senate last school year and enjoyed familiarizing myself with the different committees and goals of our student body. I love being involved in school activities to help make students’ experiences stand out. As of right now, I am a business major, so I think that receiving these extra leadership opportunities in senate would allow me to work with other people and find creative ways to share and communicate ideas; which would be helpful practice for any profession I decide to pursue. I am currently looking to work for Disney in some sort of capacity, and I think that being able to understand others’ ideas and work within different environments would be very beneficial towards that career goal. I am on the track and field team as a high jumper, pole vaulter and javelin thrower. I love staying active and being outside! I am also a part of the wind symphony orchestra here at IWU as a french horn player. I am also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and am VP of Recruitment for Alpha Kappa Psi. I enjoy being included in the planning and execution of campus initiatives, making Student Senate a perfect way to accomplish this goal. Thank you for considering my application.
