We the undersigned, request that the city of Eureka move forward with the community center that we were promised. We request that the city take the required action necessary in building a government center on the city owned property that lays between city hall and Geggie Elementary. In Eureka's Government Center we would like to see the main level be dedicated to being a community center giving our children some place to go and something to do through out the year. The second level should be dedicated to our city hall, police station and court house/alderman chamber. Tax dollars have been collected for such a project, we feel that it is now the time to spend those tax dollars. We were promised a community center 13 years ago, and if we go with the cities current plan ground won't be broken for yet another 10 year. That is too long for our children to wait.
