This petition is for EPS parents to have a voice. I am trying to gather signatures in hopes that we can have a board meeting with parents involved in the decision for the upcoming school year. I will email this to our superintendent Dr. Floyd to request a meeting

Kids need to be in school with friends and peers. The last semester of school was a joke and robbed kids of all ages of their education for the 2020 spring school year. They have been at home to long. This school year's plans of going by the color code of the state is a sham too. There is no normalcy, ability to plan, and structure is out the window. Kids need normalcy and structure.
I feel our kids need to be in school all 5 days a week. Not thrilled, but if it takes it, I’d even be ok if they had to wear masks. But they need to be in school to learn. The distance learning was no good last year and our children’s education is suffering because of it.
I think the parent voices are important and dismissing them without a chance is wrong.
My girls need social interaction with kids their own age. They need a routine and consistency. I will send them to school in masks, as long as they go to school every day.
Some of the most important things a child needs is stability and the feeling of being safe. Many children see schools as their escape and happy place. Where they have their one meal for the day. The best thing for children is to allow them to send them back to school and prepare them for the future.
Let our children back in school!
Our children need in class learning. Period.

Our kids need to be in school, now, full time. This is the will of the parents. You need to listen to who signs your paychecks!
