If you are in support of a town hall meeting with the Aberdeen School District Board of Directors, please sign the petition and share. We need to gather as many signatures as we can in order to request a meeting to discuss the lack of faith we have in the school board hearing the concerns of parents, staff and community members on issues with the Superintendent. The lack of investment and visibility she has in our community, along with her inability to create working relationships with staff outside of the district office. The fears of retribution as she has created an environment of intimidation that make staff and administrators fear to speak out on behalf of our students and community. She needs to be fostering an environment where sharing of ideas has value. We need to hold the school board accountable. We need them to start listening to the concerns and answer questions of the people. They should want to be solving problems in a collaborative manner and not behind closed doors.

I really thought this might just fizzle out but seeing so many people join in shows that I am definitely not the only one feeling this level of frustration. It is wild to see this momentum building because it means the board can no longer pretend like everyone is just fine with how things are being handled behind those closed doors.

I am a parent that has had children in the ASD for the past consecutive 14 years. I have never been more frustrated by the actions of not only the school board, but especially the district Superintendent. Frankly I have no faith in either. But, particularly I have zero faith in our Superintendent. Time and time again she has shown her lack of knowledge of standard procedures/protocol, professionalism, or any signs of actual interest in our children, staff or community as a whole. It’s time for her to go and time for the board to listen to the community, or they will go as well.
Both teachers and students need breaks to reach full potential if students are over whelmed or in restless they will absorb less and teachers deserve breaks if they can't recharge they won't be able to use there full potential either and they will burn out at a higher rate especially since they have already lost most class room helps and school counsolers they can't do every thing with nothing
Truly believe this is a must and that the school board is not listening to the community. The one year extension should not be granted!
Parents & community should have the opportunity to discuss their concerns to the board who should listen with open ears and minds. Legitimate questions and inquiries deserve responses.
We the people need to take a stand and make the board remember that us tax payers are the ones paying their salaries and investing in our children! Our district needs change and change for the better.
This is overdue!
Our kids deserve a fair education!

Please allow parents and staff the opportunity to get answers to their questions. Please consider NOT having the Superintendent attend so that staff feel safe sharing their questions.
