We call for an end to violence against children and adolescents with disabilities in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (Articles 19, 2 and 23), the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Article 16) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) (especially Target 16.2), which all highlight the right to protection from all forms of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation

The stories coming into my inbox are brutal and they prove this abuse is happening right under our noses. Institutions want to keep these children hidden but we are forcing them into the light. Keep the pressure on because the silence from those in charge is a choice.

We shouldend violence and abuse of all persons, but we need to ensure that children and young people who are the most vulnerable are inlcuded in all advocacy and messaging
In the frame of my work for CBM in the Inclusive Education component, i will design, train and support programs on children's and adolescents´ with disabilities rights, sexual education and prevention from any kind of abuse, including parents and community members.
Im a project manager at Associacao dos Deficientes Mocambicanos (ADEMO), it is the first mozambican organization working to protect and promote the right of the People with disability

Ending violence against children with disabilities in Africa is still considered a non-event .Integrated Youth Volunteer Foundation (IYVF ) aimed at ending violence on children with disabilities .We have already identified many of such cases affecting children with disabilities in Africa , for example a State Counsel in Cameroon has violated the right of about 78 children with disabilities living them homeless for his own selfish interest ,we are seeking legal advice to table this situation internationally , he needs to appear before the court , we need your support out there .This will serve as a lesson to many others .
