We, the undersigned, would like to make clear our disappointment with Canada's state-sponsored news agency's bias and lack of objectivity with regards to the CBC's coverage of current events in Syria - which has come across as nothing more then blatant war-mongering and lobbying for the war and profit industries. By clearly defining the Syrian "rebels" as the good guys and defining the Syrian Assad "regime" as the bad guys, the CBC has utterly ignored that what is currently going on in Syria is that massacres are being carried out by paid mercenaries in simply another US-backed insurgency designed to topple another independant government for the sake of empire. Please stop ignoring the blatant truth. Canadians deserve better and Canadians deserve more. The consequence could result in a Third World War. Canada's state-sponsored news agency has shown that when it comes to helping US Imperialism and other NATO members with their own vested interests in empire, the CBC is nothing more then another vulgar part of the war machine. What the CBC is doing is not journalism - it is lobbying, and therefore should not be the benificiary of continued state sponsorship. We, the undersigned, demand that our "national broadcaster" - the CBC show that they are prepared to defend the most basic of Canadian values: the understanding of the duty to tell the truth at all times, the capacity to understand and present all sides of the situation, the ability to forsee the consequences of misinforming the Canadian public. Not until the CBC shows us these fundementals can we continue to support state and taxpayer sponsorship of Canada's "offical" news agency.
