We the undersigned, feel that the BBC has wandered so far from its Reithian aims to 'inform, educate and entertain' - particularly the first two - that protest is our duty. We see news reporting bias when it comes to supporting US-led wars or potential military conflicts, you routinely ignore peaceful protests and marches, provide constant publicity for UKIP, and an extremely unpleasant bias in favour of Israel when it comes to reporting anything regarding Israel or Palestine. Although the licence fee is not just for BBC programmes but the reception of any live broadcast of any terrestrial TV show, we do not want to financially support this once-great institution if it does not make some serious changes in the areas mentioned.

Seeing the momentum pick up like this honestly makes me feel less like I am shouting into the void alone. It is validating to realize so many of you are feeling the same frustration with the current state of reporting because lately I have been wondering if I was just losing my mind.

As someone born before WWII who recognises the value of the BBC during those difficult times I'm deeply disappointed at the pro-Israeli bias and the selective reporting in some of its current news coverage.

Aabsolutely disgusted by the BBC's refusal to allow the Green Party on the debate. Yet allow the newly formed (only just got an mp), hate fueled UKIP a place. This is supposed to be am opportunity to educate the public on their choices, ams you are removing and showing enormous bias in doing this. BBC; pushers of the blatant, and not all well disguised right wing parties.

So sad. Once BBC reporting was synonymous with reliability, but those days are gone. Especially, but not only, in relation to Palestine/Israel news. I do not see why tax-payers money should be allocated to a service that is unreliable, unbalanced and biased.

My concern is that I can recognise the BBC bias in its reporting of the Palestine / Israel conflict as it is something I have studied for a long time. However, regarding other areas of news with which I’m not so familiar, I may not be able to recognise the BBC bias. I’m sure if it exists in one area of reporting it will do so in others.

I used to trust the BBC to present news issues in a balanced way. Events like this, however, together with 'l'affare Savile' et al, have led me to believe that the BBC is inward-looking, self-serving and biased in the extreme. Time for a change, I think.

I pay my licence fee to get balanced news. More and more the BBC seems to be the stenographer of power. It is losing its once esteemed cachet and is regarded by most people as merely a mouthpiece for the right wing, either in this country or abroad.
