Public School's dress codes are not only sexist and favorites certain people, but it supports rape culture. Woman are told to change so they are not "distracting towards education." The biggest problem is shorts. The school is extremely hot and we're told to change if we wear shorts that are too short / revealing. Telling woman to change for men is disgustingly sexist. Having an attitude such as "boys will be boys" and "boys can't control themselves" is just a horrible approach to gender roles. Enforcing these gender roles is enforcing that sexual crimes have to do with women "asking for it" because of what they wear. I would also like to point out how certain people get away with the dress code and certain people don't.

With that note, if faculty wants woman to stop wearing shorts, please pay for air conditioning.
