Final supporters
With all the warnings given with regard to reckless usage of resources, and their subsequent disposal, why would the Department of Education still insist on paper payslips? Indeed, so obvious is the solution, that I almost feel silly having to fight for it. We reprimand the students in our class for such a cavalier attitude towards the ongoing pollution problems, yet participate in the needless process of paper payslips. Department of Education / Government Officials / Unions....... Cop on, and make the simple change to E-slips.
Mother Earth will thank you, and I dare say teachers will get used to the change!

I spent this morning sorting through a stack of envelopes that will simply end up in the bin by tonight. It feels absurd to demand environmental responsibility from our students while we continue to participate in this wasteful cycle ourselves.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting off my shoulders. It is heartening to see so many colleagues agree that we need to stop wasting paper while we lecture our students about the environment.

Move with the times. What a waste of money and resources. Not to mention mindless action in relation to the environment. We need to be inherently progressive on all these fronts as teachers.
We are teaching children to use less paper. But the department of education waste millions I would like to change

its 2016 for god sake. why are we still printing these when everything is online anyway. pure waste of tax money.
