We ask Ferndale schools to get rid of i-Ready because it is adding stress to students and making school feel even heavier after home life already wears them down.

Students should not be pushed into a program that leaves them feeling overwhelmed and anxious. School should be a place where young people can learn, grow, and feel supported, not a place where another screen and another round of pressure take away their energy and confidence. When students are forced to use i-Ready, it can turn learning into something that feels cold, repetitive, and hard to manage, especially for those already carrying stress from home.

We believe Ferndale can do better. There are other ways to support learning that respect students as people, give teachers more flexibility, and create a healthier school day. Instead of forcing i-Ready on students, we want school leaders to listen to the people most affected and choose approaches that build real learning without adding more strain.
